Dr. Chia-Hsing Lin Selected to Lead New Orleans Production of
Broadway Hit – 33 Variations

Date: July 15, 2013

Dr. Chia-Hsing Lin, esteemed piano teacher at LAFARGUE MUSIC SCHOOL (a
division of LAFARGUE PIANOS, LTD.), was recently selected to serve as musical
director and pianist for the New Orleans production of 33 Variations,
Moises Kaufman’s Broadway hit show that starred Jane Fonda on Broadway. The
local run of 14 performances will be held at the Contemporary Arts Center in
September beginning September 11, 2013. The production is being presented as an
educational awareness campaign for the ALS Association of Louisiana/Mississippi
chapter and the Team Gleason Organization. The local run of 33 Variations
will be produced by Southern Rep Theater in association with MESA Production
Company.

The highly acclaimed Dr. Lin is a past winner of the International Arlington
Competition, the OMTA Piano competition, the Taipei Philharmonic Piano
Competition, the First Taiwan Concerto Competition, and the Taiwan National
Piano Competitions. He has instructed top prize winners of the DeBose National
Piano Competition, the Metairie Music Club Piano Competition, the GNOYO Young
Artist Concerto Competition, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the LPO Young
Artist Concerto Competition, and the RNCM Gold Medal Weekend
